Hopster's 292 Centre Street, Newton, Massachusetts 02458 (map)
Hopsters and the Somerville Brewing Company (aka Slumbrew) are coming together to give 25 guests the opportunity to brew custom craft beer from scratch!
Slumbrew's head brewer, Jeff Leiter will be heading up the brewing efforts including the grinding, mashing, and boiling, ultimately creating 75 gallons of two unique Kolsh recipes, one featuring strawberries and the second Italian plums.
If you're ready to create your first beer, your first all-grain beer, or are interested in working with professional grade brewer's fruit and berry ingredients then join the Slumbrew crew at Hopster's on June 5th at 4pm*. Each participant will receive approximately one case of their custom creation.
While the brewing process is taking place, brewers and spectators alike will have the option to enjoy a bite from the Hopster’s kitchen, including local charcuterie and artisanal cheeses.
Can't make it to brew? Join us for a Slumbrew Tap Takeover! We will be offering a variety of Slumbrew favorites including Happy Sol, Flagraiser IPA, Trekker Trippel, Porter Square Porter, My Better Half, and Lobstah Killah Imperial Red Ale!
*Please note, the grinding and mashing will begin promptly at 4pm followed by the boil at 7pm. If you cannot make it for the mash, you are still welcome to join later on! All Tap Takeover selections will be available by 4pm until the bar closes at 11pm.
