Late autumn is a special time in Slumerville when local squirrel communities begin their annual stockpile of winter nuts in the attic and eaves of unsuspecting homes. It is also a time of greater appreciation for darker beers and this brown ale commemorates that changing of the season.
Attic & Eaves autumn brown ale is a transitional brown beer based on pale and crystal malts with additions of caramel wheat, golden oats, flaked barley and dark Belgian candi. It gets 46 IBU’s of hoppy spice from Williamette and Centenntial hops that keep the malty base in line because, well, we’re not ready for a winter warmer yet.
