Overview

Alluring and seductive, Queen Badiene (BAH-dee-en) will lure you into a black hole of dreams under the guise of eternal happiness, peace and comfort in order to take over the world. Beware!

This beer was inspired by the Sailer Moon series of Japanese films where the main antagonist Queen Badiane is named after the French word for star anise. The beer is based on a traditional Irish dry stout and spiced with Fuggles hops, coriander, black pepper and of course, star anise. A complex blend of malts combined with a cold-extraction of coffee brings out flavors ranging from dates, toffee, licorice, and pomegranate.
