Overview
This imperial stout is based on a style of stouts that commonly originated from England as an export to the Baltic states and Russia in the 18th and 19th century – also known as Russian Imperial Stouts. It offers a rich, intense maltiness with a finish that is warm with port-like qualities and a higher alcohol content. This particular recipe is based on Planet Imperial Stout brewed by the infamous Bert Grant of Yakima Brewing and Malting Company.
