Simcoe hops aren't easy to get these days but they sure are delicious. The Simcoe hops are a relatively new hybrid of hop grown by the Yakima Chief Ranches with Alpha acids in the 12-14% range. This Double IPA makes generous use of the them along with Columbus, Centennial and Cascade hops to produce strong fruit, piney and citrus aromas. At 9% ABV, there is nothing better to dream of hop cones while enjoying a sunset over slumerville.
Enjoy this beer in a chilled glass, but the hop aromas are best tasted at a slightly warmer than usual temperature. Don’t worry if you drink it all, we’ll make more.
